Fair for 4-H Members

Time to groom and train and trim,
practice was begun months before,
for children whose farm experience,
thanks to farmers who livestock share

The outcome worked for at the fair,
result of kindly mentoring;
farmers reap a double yield,
fine animals, boost those entering.

Hats off to leaders who guide a seam,
who teach of recipes, baking time,
some oversee the gardens' growth,
master horseman's turn on a dime.

Fine crops are grown and livestock too,
as leaders share their expertise;
another generation grows,
helped to find success's keys.
