Will Challenged
"Where there's a will, there also is a won't,"
was told my children with my tongue in cheek.
Long is the time that has marched on since then;
unwieldy won't is found, as well, quite weak.
Vain struggle budges a result to make;
opposing efforts strive to bend the will.
As unimportant as the issue seems,
to yield repeatedly seems worth to kill.
With people-pleasing or rigidity,
the choices, what's the attitude to be?
Could tact with steadfastness the answer be?
With humor seasoned, wisdom's victory.
