Standard Time--Fall Back
Don't know about this falling back;
I guess the morning will be light,
though evening time light hours will lack.
It's standard time, not a new rite.
I'll surely be to church on time,
perhaps awake more hours before,
hope I have set the alarm to chime,
and not confused, sleep one hour more.
And, could it be, my wakeful hour,
that sometimes has occurred at four,
now will be three, suggestion's power,
will give me leave-- no guilt-- to snore.
If I lose some sleep that I should gain
because the change makes me confused.
I'll just accept and not complain,
when in the afternoon I've snoozed.
